Meriden ArtsTrust, Inc. (MAT) presents:
"Music for a Summer's Eve"
annual fundraising concert
With Guest Host, from WNPR, Ms. Chion Wolf!

This is the major fundraiser for the scholarship funds of both the Meriden ArtsTrust, Inc. and the Q. Walter Peabody Foundation, and it is a labor of love; a sparkly-wrapped  gift box to the community lovers of good music.  The music is serious - but our performers allow their senses of humor to peek out throughout the evening's fare. This is a light hearted tour through good music with a yummy reception afterward!

A dozen or so Music Ph.D. students from the Yale University community entertain us with music from just about every genre- Early music, traditional European Classical music, Broadway, Liturgical, contemporary Classical music and everything else in between!  Superbly performed with a humorous play-by-play  by Chion Wolf and co-hosted by the concert's multi-talented impresario Christopher William White, himself a Ph.D. student in Music Theory (well, somebody has to do it!)

Also singing for our supper will be guest musicians such as the Black Friday Brass Band, and outstandingly talented young and adult musicians from the area.  CCCYO Alumni come and join in the fun and music to show us what they have been up to musically!  Come watch us 'sing for our supper' and at the same time, you will be supporting two great Classical orchestral music scholarships for Central Connecticut.

The date for 2012's concert will be announced and tickets will be on sale in February, 2012.
